Orchestra Practice
We will be having an Orchestra practice, going through the choral numbers on Saturday morning, December 12, at 8 AM. If any singers would like to come and have a chance to practice the choral numbers before Sunday night, you are welcome to attend. The practice will be for the orchestra, but singers are welcome! It will be at the Alpenglow Chapel.

Midi Files Site Posted on Side Bar
I have added a link to find midi files so that you can listen to the music without other vocals. It should be a little easier to hear the different vocal portions as well. If anyone has any additional information, please feel free to share it. Thanks.

Community Messiah Sing-A-Long
The Bear Mountain Ward of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is hosting a Messiah Sing-A-Long. We invite any and all who would like to participate, either in singing or listening, to come and join us. This is not a professional performance, but a chance to get together and sing and worship our Savior during the time of year we celebrate His birth. It will be on Sunday, December 13, from 6-7:30.
We will have an hour and a half of music: some solos and some choral numbers. The solos are already assigned, but the chorus will be made up of any who want to come and participate. There will be no prior rehearsals, just come and sing that evening. We did not want to take away from families too much during this important time of the year, but still want to have the opportunity to participate in this beautiful music. There will also be a small orchestra to accompany the choral numbers.
We will have a few extra copies of the music to lend on a first come first served basis, however, if you have access to some, please bring your own score. We will be directing off the Schirmer/Spicker arrangement, however you may use whatever you have available. If you would like to purchase your own, you can find them online at places like Amazon for about $7 each. You could probably also get copies at some local stores as well.
The list of choral numbers we will be singing is also on the right side of the webpage. There are links to YouTube videos of all the choral numbers so you can practice singing along ahead of time if you want. Some of the links have the vocal score as the video, but not all. Again, this will not be a professional performance, just people getting together who enjoy music.
The location is at the Alpenglow Chapel which is located at 19701 Driftwood Bay Drive, Eagle River. If you click on the picture of the church building on the upper right side of the webpage, it will take you to a map to locate the building easily.
If you have any questions, please leave them in a comment to this post. Or you may contact Jennifer Bundy at 694-4901. We hope this will be an enjoyable event for any and all who want to participate. We hope to see you there!
